英検、TOEIC、そして

I took on the challenge of the Eiken first exam on a whim today.
Here are the results.
Word section: 21 correct answers out of 25 questions
Reading section: 14 out of 16
Given my diminishing English ability at the moment, I'd say that I did a relatively good job.

Honestly speaking, I couldn't have enough time at once for this challenge because of my hefty household chores, meaning I had to break off at times. So I have no idea what score I could get if I actually took the test now.

It was good for me to find again it interesting to read articles used for the Eiken exam. I want to try to answer the listening section soon, although I predict that I will fail there miserably...

If you have gotten over 900 points for the Toeic, why don't you turn your eyes on the Eiken first grade, unless you have ever tried it? The first grade exam is supposed to evaluate your command of English from all aspects, namely, listening, reading, writing and speaking. I believe that it's far more worthy than the Toeic test. The U.S. test only consists of listening and reading questions, right? How could this Test alone judge your true English skill precisely? No offence intended. This is just my opinion.

I want to believe that achieving success in both of the two different tests will surely build up your confidence toward your English proficiency. I was determined to become a professional translator after I passed the Eiken. At the time I kept around the mid-800 points for the Toeic. I had almost no complaint about the score, but I was getting greedier and greedier to overcome the 900 mark. Luckily I made it, although I couldn't afford to buy several textbooks to prepare myself for the test. To study the test and make a strategy, the ETS's formal textbook was good enough for me.

I’m just curious to know what the Ielts is about, but the exam fee seems to be extremely high…
