Tax Consluting MTG‏

My translation at the office is ongoing. On the other hand, I was asked to interpret at individual tax consulting meetings for foreigners. I applied for the work last month and they put me in one of these meetings. Yesterday they phoned me to ask for one more meeting, which delighted me very much. Thus I am supposed to go to the meeting site for two days in March. It is voluntary work, though the transportation fee will be covered. I did this last year, so I should make use of my past experience.

Honestly speaking, I wanted to increase experiences as an interpreter by working at hospital at times, which I believe that would benefit for me to become sort of an in-company interpreter for IR, though I know this IR thing is my wildest dream. But I have given up on working at hospital.

Accounting terms partly overlap tax terms. For someone who knows accounting to some extent, interpreting tax matters wouldn't seem to be as hard as people who know neither tax nor tax. All I do for preparation at the moment is to look over tax return instructions published by the National Tax Agency. I'll try to squeeze time for reading these into my schedule. No doubt that it's worth doing it.

Working in English often calms me. It's soothing.

I wish my kid could find something worthy for living his own life, even if there's a thorny path ahead of him...
