My CD player was broken totally. I'm very sad...

I bought a new one, as shown below, through Amazon today.
Hope this will work much longer.
Surely this product will help me improve my English???

I 'll interpret for a German woman tomorrow. I wanted to take a good rest at home this weekend, but this opportunity was too good to pass up.

I like "Radio Eikaiwa". Whenever I listen to the program, I come across a new expression. Plus, the teachers are very funny at times. They must be good performers.

I had a lot on the plate in the office today. In addition to the delay of data from overseas, there was a system error, which was almost out of my control. So I had to work late. Such is life.

Today's NHK English programs seemed to cheer me up. Since I had some household chores, I missed a part of today's "Radio Eikaiwa". However, "Enjoy Simple English", broadcast following "Radio Eikaiwa", kept me laughing out. Are Junko and Sato, who appear in a skit every Friday, like "Romeo & Juliet"? I'm sorry to say this, but I doubt it. In my view, they are comedians rather than tragic hero and heroine! At any rate, I appreciate NHK radio bringing me some comfort, let alone vivid English expressions with good quality! I owe them a lot.

I'm falling asleep soon... My pillow is about to take me away to...

I decided to watch a new NHK drama titled "Hanako and Anne". It just started on March 31. Since it is impossible for me to watch it every morning, I asked my husband to record it so that I can watch it later.

The story was very amazing from the beginning. Around that time, boys usually got a lot more attention from their parents than girls did. But Hanako's family was totally different. Her father put Hanako above her brother(s). He believed in his elder daughter's great smartness undoubtfully and pushed eagerly her to go to advanced school in Tokyo, although her family lived in poor conditions. In fact, her brother ended up serving at a rich family's house in exchange for a single pack of rice.

What will happen to Hanako down the road, who became a translator of Anne of Green Gables?
I look forward to watching the next episode and Ms. Yoshitaka, who is one of my favorite actresses. I'm also curious about how well she and other actresses, including Ms. Tomosaka, speak English in the drama.

I want to chase my dream like Hanako!

I've decided to listen to Mr. Shibahara's program because I want to improve my shamefully poor listening skill. I wish I could listen to what is spoken in the program perfectly. The odds aren't in my favor, but I'll give it a go. I appreciate NHK providing us with nice English materials.

Besides studying English, I'm interested in this:
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/28/world/asia/freed-after-decades-on-death-row-man-indicts-justice-in-japan.html?_r=0
I can't help but blame those police officers, who sent the former boxer to prison by forcing him to make a false confession... It’s obvious that they didn’t have any concrete evidence enough to claim he did murder. No one has a right to deprive an innocent man of freedom in such a brutal way.

I can’t erase my anger towards people who abuse their power.
